A paper from 2011 arguing: (a) Social networks are where the integration of Web and TV is already happening (b) Silos are being created (c) Audiences, Manufacturers, Developers, Programme Makers and Content Owners all Lose (d) Using metadata appropriately, creating APIs to TV and using URLs as unique identifiers for programmes can solve some of these problems.
